Winter Heritage Festival in the Smokies

Location: Townsend Visitors Center and nearby locations

A celebration of the history and cultural traditions of Townsend, Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

 

 

 March 16-17, 2012:
Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival

Location: Townsend Visitors Center and Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center

Classes, demonstrations, spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, sheep-shearing & border collie sheep-herding.

 

 

April 7, 2012:
Herb and Wildflower Day

Location: Townsend Visitors Center

Enjoy naturalist talks and guided walks in the Smokies, sales of plants, baked goods and pottery.

 

 

May 4-5, 2012:

Townsend Spring Festival and Old Timers Day

Location: Townsend Visitors Center

Festival featuring bluegrass concerts, clogging, arts and crafts, Appalachian skills, family fun, BBQ and other good food.

   Troutfest  May, 2010
Troutfest is a Fly Fishing Exposition and Fundraiser held in Townsend, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains. It is a Little River Chapter of Trout Unlimited sponsored fundraiser and festival. The event in 2009 will prove to be one of the largest venues for fly angers in the Southeast United States.
