Dear SSCE members,

I have the honor of being host to the 2010 Grand National Rally.  It will be held at Misty River Campground in Walland, Tennessee.
Yes, Tennessee!!!!  I know that this is a big change but it is time to move the Rally to different parts of the Scotty nation as Scotty Al always hoped. The other big change is the date.  They were not available for the usual weekend in June so with approval we have moved it to July 22-24th, 2010.

I have never done this before but this campground is wonderful.  Camping fees are $32.00 per night or you can double up on a site at $25.00 per night. (Their normal rates are $40.00 per nite and he is extending our rate to the week before and after the rally for our members)  Each site has full hook ups with WIFi and cable.  The bathhouse is centrally located and each bathroom has a private shower.  Check out their web site and I think you will be impressed. I am going to need lots of help and advise as I get this Rally ready to go.  We have a date and a place but need some advise.

We have not yet set a registration fee and that is where I need some advise.  There is so much to see and do in the Smokies that I do not want to over plan this event.  They provide free coffee every morning and the little barbeque shack serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and sells ice cream.  You can visit Dollywood in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg (45 minute drive) or Cherokee, NC and visit the casino.  You can fish, tube or white water raft with in minutes.

Do we need doughnuts every morning?

I would like to keep the potluck on Saturday night and the Sunday morning potluck breakfast.  Last year registration fees paid for pancakes and sausage and eggs.  Also we paid for some of the prizes for the cow plop cookies contest.

Need suggestions for a cook off for this year.

Help if you can and please feel free to email me with any questions.
